I find it difficult to find devotionals that seem helpful to me, but lately I have come across several that are better than most.

• The Reckless Way of Love, Dorothy Day
• Devotional Classics, Richard Foster & James Smith, ed.
• A Celebration of Faith, Austin Farrer
• Near Unto God: Daily Meditations Adapted for Contemporary Christians, Abraham Kuyper, updated by James Calvin Schaap (I tend to think the direct translation, To Be Near Unto God, published by Classic Domain Publishing, might be better, but I had this one on my shelf.)
